About us
Vault Sessions was born from the raw, industrial heart of Amsterdam’s underground techno scene. It began in the early 2010s, sparked by a small group of passionate techno enthusiasts who craved a deeper connection with the darker, heavier side of electronic music. What started as intimate, invite-only gatherings in unconventional venues quickly grew into some of the city’s most sought-after techno events.
Over the years, Vault Sessions has evolved into more than just events—it’s a movement that celebrates freedom of expression and the relentless energy of techno. From intimate warehouse raves to large-scale festivals, each edition is meticulously curated to create a unique connection between the music, the artists, and the audience.
As we approach our 10-year anniversary, Vault Sessions continues to expand, always innovating, while staying true to its underground roots. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the scene, Vault Sessions promises to take you on a journey like no other, where the music speaks louder than words.
club ethics
The dancefloor belongs to those who want to become one with the music and express themselves in whichever way they see fit. It is a place for unification, transcendence, and inspiration. It is where ideas are born, bodies are freed, and minds are open. Whoever steps onto the dancefloor is a part of a larger collective, in which each person is respected, accepted, and completely liberated. The euphoric dancefloor is our shared safe place.
As Vault Sessions, we have, and will forever continue to stand behind this statement. This is why it is necessary to shed light on a few concerns that threaten the safety of our dancefloor, and remind party-goers of our core values.
-
Each individual who steps onto the dancefloor has the undeniable right to express themselves in any form they see fit. The dancefloor thrives through creativity and individuality, therefore, anyone who is part of this large collective is always welcome as they are.
It is the duty and responsibility of not only the Vault Sessions crew but also fellow dancers, to make sure each and every person feels accepted and wanted on the dancefloor.
Discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability, or forms of self-expression cannot, and will not be accepted.
-
Being part of the dancefloor is an undeniably titillating experience. However, consent is the most important part of making sure every person within the party feels safe. It is the partygoers’ responsibility to make sure to part-take in fully consensual actions. Any other form of non-consensual behavior will result in being immediately removed from the party. Further action with the authorities will be taken if seen as necessary.
Please remember to look out for your friends, do not leave them alone in an uncomfortable situation.
Verbal harassment containing aggressive, insulting, and discriminatory language is also never tolerated. Please address and treat each other with respect.
-
Even though a natural high is greatly appreciated, substance use has been entangled with club culture since the beginning of its time. Thus, making sure each party-goer uses substances safely becomes one of our top priorities.
It is important to know one’s limits as well as it is important to familiarize oneself with the substance of choice. Please listen to your body, drink enough water, and make sure you know the effects of what you use. Look out for your friends and make sure they are not left alone in a circumstance where they cannot assist themselves.
-
Please keep the brightness of your phone at a minimum. Do not take videos or photos with flash, as it can kill the vibe. Respect people’s privacy by not taking photos or videos of them without their consent.
We will be working with a diligent and caring awareness team that will assist you in any form necessary. If you or one of your friends are not feeling well, or have witnessed a disturbing and disrespectful incident, please do not hesitate to talk to them or ask for help, they are there to aid you and make sure the party remains safe.
Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to guarantee a 100% safe club environment. However, we promise you that we will be doing everything in our power to make sure it remains as open, safe, and euphoric as possible.
